Joyce Fernandez Obituary
Norfolk - Joyce M. Fernandez, 71, passed away Aug 24,2012. Preceded in death by her husband Jose Fernandez. She leaves behind her siblings, Jean Maderazo and Kenneth Henderson. Her children Carlos Fernandez, Sheila Brinck and Kimie Porter. Her grandchildren, Robert Foster, Delani Beilsmith, Carlos, Amy and Ariel Fernandez, Arden, Sage, and Britt Porter and 5 great grandchildren. Although a paraplegic for 41 years, she was the epitome of strength and independence. She enjoyed her family, Church, and volunteering for Depaul Hospital and Botanical Gardens. A memorial service will be held on Saturday Sept 1st at 2pm at The Church of the Epiphany. 1530 Layfayette Blvd. Norfolk. Church Reception following.
