Joyce Anita Hietala Port St Lucie - Joyce Anita (Bilodeau) Hietala (81), passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 1, 2023 at her home in Pt St Lucie, FL. Born in Leominster, MA to Leo Bilodeau and Marjorie (Fuller) Bilodeau. She is survived by her loving spouse of 50 years, John Hietala. Her careers included homemaker, hairdresser, and ordained minister. She had been ministering as a lay person with her current church family at Grace Emmanuel Church in Pt St Lucie under the wonderful leadership of Sam and Sue Chess.

Joyce was one of 10 siblings. She is predeceased by her siblings Leo Bilodeau, Carol Comeau, and Leona Russell. She is survived by her siblings, Rosie Portier, Nancy Jolls, Linda Swan, David Bilodeau, Peter Bilodeau, and Joe Bilodeau. Joyce has 2 surviving children, Dennis Smith of Lincoln, NE and Donna Beirnes of Jupiter, FL and a step-daughter, Tammi Lloyd of Baldwinville, MA. She is predeceased by her son, Gary Smith in 1990 and her premature daughter, Charlene Smith in 1962. There are 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 @ 11:00 a.m. at Grace Emmanuel Church, 707 Kitterman Rd, Pt St Lucie, FL 34952.

I truly believe there is a special place in Heaven for this sweet soul and even if we will not see her again here on earth, the reunion in Heaven will be grand. See you in the morning Aunt Joyce.
