To the entire Mathews family:
I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your loved one. They say it gets easier with time, but with me losing my mother 1-1/2 years ago it seems to get harder. I pray that this will not be the case for any of you. Hold deep in your heart all the wonderful memories that Joyce has left for you to cherish, for those will get you through the toughest times. I have some wonderful memories through Azalea Little League which involved your family! Take care and God Bless you all.

Patti...I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother. Joyce was a wonderful and loving woman who always seemed to have a kind word to say and a simle on her face. This is how me and my family will always remember her.

We are very sorry for your loss . Joyce was a great person & will be missed by all. I miss the days we spent out on the ballfield at NAS . You all helped me so much during the time i was raising the boys. We will be praying for your family .

Joyce...I have missed our daily calls greatly... I will carry on with the GTMO Alumni, we started together, 30 years ago...I will keep it going, for my lifetime...Our GTMO friends will always remain the most special, in our hearts...The joy of everyone being connected to their GTMO Buddies, is what pushed us to spend hundreds of hours, on the phone together, searching for more... GTMO was what made you the happiest, in your unappreciated life...What will they all do now, since you are gone...GTMO was where you were loved & appreciated the most... I knew of your hopes & dreams... Few did...I'm sorry they were never fulfilled in this lifetime...Maybe,now you can fulfill them.. One thing for sure, you finally have the peace & quiet you craved everyday... ENJOY, my friend, ENJOY... You deserve it...
I will miss you my friend...
Sandy
