JT Landers

Justin Taylor "JT" Landers, 34, slipped from his brief but eventful earthly pilgrimage to his eternal reward on Friday, December 23, 2016, as the result of a motorcycle accident. JT was born in Tupelo on June 24, 1982 to the late Ricky Landers and Elise Robbins Hill. He lived all his life in Lee County except for a brief sabbatical in the mountains of Colorado after the death of his dad. JT had a mischievous, daring but joyful personality growing up. He made friends easily and endeared himself to many. His beautiful smile was legendary. His life was forever changed when he married his wife, Karen Janice Allen Landers in Destin, Florida on May 2, 2009. JT loved the outdoors and the thrill of a motorcycle. He loved tending his horses on the family land in Old Union and, most especially, taking care of his wife, two children and being with his fun loving, vivacious family. JT owned and operated JT Landers Trucking Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shannon. A service celebrating his life will be held at 2 PM Monday, December 26, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Shannon with Bro. John Davis officiating. Private burial will be in the family plot at Brewer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM-service time on Monday only at First Baptist-Shannon. Holland Funeral Directors is assisting the family. Those he loved most include his wife, Karen; his children, Mia Landers and Levi Landers. his mother, Elise Robbins Hill and husband, Bubba of Brewer. his sister, Ashley Dawe Allen of Pontotoc and his step brother, Kyle Hassett of Colorado. his grandmothers, Faye Robbins and Betty Landers Davis both of Brewer. his in laws, Robert and Beth Allen of Oxford. His sister in law, Katie Allen of Madison. His nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle JT: Landry Allen and Grace, Robbie, Charlie, Abby and Amelia Bucklew. He was preceded in death by his dad, Ricky and his grandfathers, John Wesley Robbins and Gene Landers. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church "Forward by Faith" Fund, P. O.
