Juan Montalvo Obituary
Bumpa was a lawyer in Cuba until moving to the US in 1960 at which time he reinvented himself, working with agricultural products until his retirement in his 80s. Along the way he raced cars, flew airplanes and helicopters and handcrafted Christmas gifts on his garage lathe each year. He invented a wine bottle stopper, Ustopper, which was featured in Oprah's favorite things.
He had a way of making each person feel special. He was so proud of each of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the people he loved in his life. He's been described as "larger than life." We will miss him dearly.

Juanito was a dear and loyal friend to everyone in our family. We will miss his ever-present smile, his sense of humor and his uplifting attitude. Our Mom and Ina will miss their lunches with your parents! May he rest in peace...I´m sure the angels are enjoying his jokes!

Bumpa always made us feel as part of your family. He was always kind and full of jokes. I had forgotten about the wine stopper invention!! I will miss seeing him. My deepest sympathies to the entire Montalvo clan.

Many blessings of comfort and peace to Juan's family. I have great memories of his joyful humor and warmth. He loved to remind me to "reach for the stars." I imagine him amongst them now.
