Juan Perez Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 3, 2024.
Juan Manuel Perez, 74, of Vallejo, California, was called home to the Lord while surrounded by his loving wife and children on November 24, 2024, following a courageous health battle. Juan was born on November 18, 1950, in Chalchihuites, Zacatecas, Mexico, and spent his youth in Jimenez del Teul, Zacatecas, Mexico. Juan was the son of the late Elisa Perez Reyes and Pasqual Martinez. He came to the United States in 1967, originally settling in San Rafael, California, before making his home in Vallejo, California in 1982. Juan was a self-employed roofer for over fifty years, running his own business and supplying jobs to Vallejo's Latino community. His business was his life's work and served as an example of his hard-working and passionate nature. Juan married the love of his life, Gladys Herrera, on April 8, 1972. Together, they raised their four children: Juan M. Perez Jr., Ivette Ramos, Vanessa Perez, and Lizette Perez-Radillo, and enjoyed a life of adventure and love. He is survived by his wife, Gladys, their children; Juan, Ivette, Vanessa, and Lizette, their eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 2 PM to 8 PM with a Vigil Service at 5 PM on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Twin Chapels at 1100 Tennessee St. Vallejo, CA 94590. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church. Burial service will follow at All Souls Catholic Cemetery at 550 Glen Cove Rd. Vallejo, CA 94591. Juan's kind spirit, generosity, and compassion will live on in the memories of others forever. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who knew him.
