Juanita Kitchens Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 20, 2005.
Juanita Minton Kitchens went to be with her Lord and Savior on the 16th of November, 2005, at the age of 94. She was born in Missouri on May 27, 1911 and grew up in Fairbury, Nebraska. The day after graduating from high school in 1929 she married Bernard 'Pat' Minton, a railroad worker from El Reno and they moved to Oklahoma. She raised her family, retired from Tinker AFB and lived the majority of her life in Midwest City. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Midwest City and a fifty year member of the Midwest City chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her first husband, B. E. Minton, her second husband of 18 years, Roy Kitchens, son Bernie Minton, Jr. and daughters, Jan Turner and Betty Goodhead. She is survived by a son, Robby Minton of Midwest City and daughter, Nita Minton of Port Richey, FL. The family would like to thank Dr. Craig Evans, Edmond, for his years of compassionate care of Juanita. You were not only her physician but also her 'good looking young man'. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at the Paylor Dignity Memorial Chapel with interment following at Arlington Memory Gardens. Donations may be made to Alleve Hospice, OKC 605-7787.

I had the great delight in presenting your Mother her 50 year pin in Eastern Star, we visited many times.

She was a delightful, happy beautiful woman. Her graciousness was ever present.

My prayers to you at this time.
