JUANITA SCATES Obituary
JUANITA
On Monday, March 31, 2014, of the North Side. Juanita was a retired educator with the Pittsburgh Board of Public Education. She was a graduate of Oliver High School and Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. Juanita devoted her entire professional teaching career to the youth of Pittsburgh at Thaddeus Stevens and Northview Heights Elementary Schools. Her husband, Harold L. Scates, Jr., preceded her in death. Juanita leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Stephanie Scates of Fort Washington, MD and Darcia Scates of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and her only grandchild, Christina Osborne; as well as a host of extended family members and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Friday, April 11, 2014, from 4 - 8 p.m. at ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME, 2025 Perrysville Ave. Pgh., PA 15215, ( 412-231-1191 ). Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 1437 Juniata Street, Pgh., PA 15233, ( 412-231-2227 ).
