Juanita Toliver was born on January 21, 1930, in the rural town of Lindsay, Virginia. She was born to the late Ned and Mary Louise Quarles. Shortly after her birth her mother Mary Louise was called home to Glory.

Juanita joined and was a supporting member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church.

In the 1970's she joined the Gethsemane Baptist Church where she remained an active member until the time of her death. She was a devoted member of Unit 4 later referred to as the tribe of Judah. She was a Sunday School teacher and a VBS contributor. She helped on varied committees, church trips.

In Glory she has waiting for her not only parents Ned and Mary Ruth, her husband Edward her beloved brother LeRoy Quarles, her uncle George Jones, her great friends Irene Webb, Reba Pittman and Barbara Wiggins, and her Son-In Love Anthony Skinner.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters Ruth (DC) and Carolyn (MD), four grandchildren Nicole, Carla, Stephanie (Andre), and James (Rachel), five great grandchildren Nicholas, Olivia, Thomas, Jordan, and Joshua; two sisters-in-love Sophie (VA) and Estelle (Horacio) (CA), her beloved nieces and nephews LeRoy, Gayle (Michael), Lori (Late Thomas Yancy), Mark, Hope and Sean, as well as a host of cousins and friends.
