Judith Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 26, 2024.
Judith Renee Anderson (Kinney), born on April 16, 1942, in Minden, Nebraska to Kenneth and Helen Kinney, passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 82 in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Judith married her high school sweetheart H. ValDene Anderson on July 26, 1959.

Judith, a devoted mother and grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished her family profoundly, often placing their needs above her own. Her life was marked by a genuine sense of humor and a deep faith in Jesus.

Judith spent her early years focusing on her family, dedicating herself to homemaking until her children completed high school. She later entered the workforce, contributing many years to the printing industry and subsequently working as a demonstrator at Costco, where she remained until her retirement.

Her spiritual life was deeply rooted in her community, where she was an active member of the First Baptist Church and Lighthouse Church. Judith's personal hobbies included reading, walking, and tending to her garden, activities that brought her much joy and peace.

She is survived by her loving children, Tammie Vance, Mike Anderson, and Cheri (Dean) McKay; her grandchildren, Nick (Monica), Amber, Brandon (Amanda), Emily (Chase), Brandie (Matthew), Brittany, and Wyatt; and her great-grandchildren, Kenna, Jaden, Serenity, Taylor (Leiv), Zach, Autumn, Addison, and Ashton, Jasmine, Faith, Emily, Isaac and Paityn. Judith's life was also enriched by her grand-dogs, Goose and Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Val, her granddaughter, Kenna, and her siblings, Crystal and Joe.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Lighthouse Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Lighthouse Christian School, supporting an institution that reflects Judith's values and spirit.

Thank you to my niece Vickie for letting me know about Judy's passing. I live in Idaho Falls and over the years my sister Greta Sharp (Vickie's Mom) kept me up to date on Judy. I am so sorry to learn of her passing and my deepest sympathy to all the family. I have lots of fun memories of Judy as one of my childhood friends. We were neighbors and boy did we have fun! I was also a bridesmaid at her wedding. Thanks for the memories Judy! I thought of you so many times over the years with lots of love. Deanna Howard

Judy found out that I lost my mother at a young age. She said she would be my mom. Cheri wasn't pleased when she found out I was the favorite.

When she found out I lost my mom at a very early age. She said she would be my mom. Cheri was upset when she found out I was the favorite.

Judy was such a devoted friend. Even as years took us apart her smile would light up my world and a hug whenever our paths crossed.
