Judith Gill Obituary
She was born on August 9, 1944, in New York, to Emma Nelson and was lovingly raised by Frances and Cecilia (Mulherron) McQuade.
A devoted follower of Christ, Judy was a cherished member of the Calvary Life Church in Cheshire. She is now surely at home in His arms, rejoicing with the Lord.
Judy was truly full of life and loved spending her time with family and friends. Adventurous at heart, she was always hungry for a new journey, and that eager spirit led her on many travels. She was an artisan, often found crafting exquisite quilts for loved ones in a dedicated room of her home replete with all the tools of her trade. As a die-hard admirer of NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, the opportunity to meet him was a dream come true. Her bond with her beloved cat, Angel, whom she loved like her own child, brought fond comfort on quiet nights.
Judy leaves behind her loving family, her daughter, Christina Witham and husband Michael of Manchester; her daughter-in-law, Ashley Robbins of Middletown; her sister, Sandy Mullin of Missouri and her cousin, Pat Mulherron of East Hartford. She was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, Mary Coleman and husband, Justin, Karla Hanson and husband Demario, Francis Witham and fiancée Kaitlyn Haugh, Rebecca McDonald, Nicholas Voelkl, Haley Voelkl and Alysa Weygant and fiancée Nick Hill. She also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends, including her special friend, Linda Dudley, for whom she was truly grateful.
She is predeceased by her two husbands, Gerhard "Jerry" Voelkl and Richard Leonhardt, and her son, Ernie Voelkl.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the special care she received from the staff at Masonicare Home during her final months.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 3:00 -5:00 pm at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, CT 06095.

We are very sad to hear of our cousin Judy's passing and hope her memory continues to bring you strength. Judy touched our lives through laughter, shared adventures and the quiet ways she showed others. She leaves us with many beautiful memories, Sending Hugs to all.
