Judith A. Keenan, 74, of Notre Dame, IN, passed away at 8:40 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 in Dujarie House at Holy Cross Village, Notre Dame, IN. Judy was born on October 31, 1939 to the late Charles R. and Frances (Rakowski) Walter in South Bend, IN. Along with her parents; one brother, Raymond Walter also preceded her in death. Judy was a wonderful loving sister, mother, and grandmother who had many friends that brought her great joy. Judy is survived by her three children, James (Melinda) Keenan of South Bend, IN; Michael (Julia) Keenan of Sugarland, TX; Kevin (Ann) Keenan of Shorewood, WI; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Allison, and Marissa Keenan; William and Moira Keenan; Edward, Ann, Robert, and Margaret Keenan; and one brother, Donald Walter of South Bend, IN. Judy was a proud graduate of the first four year graduating class of St. Joseph High School in South Bend. A long time resident of the Detroit area, she enjoyed Red Wing Hockey and Motown music. Detroit had no better ambassador. She worked for Cambridge Associates in Livonia, MI, as an Insurance Agent, for 30 years. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Our Lady of Holy Cross Chapel in Dujarie House at Holy Cross Village. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Holy Cross Chapel, with Rev. Kenneth Grabner, C.S.C officiating. Entombment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to: Community Foundation of St. Joseph County, St. Joseph High School Scholarship Fund, P.O.
