Judith Sue (Blair) McDowell, 84, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away March 5, 2025 after a brief illness. Judy was born June 6, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas to Julian "Mike" Blair and Dorothy (Seitz) Blair. She graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri and was employed by TV Guide magazine where she became lifelong friends with Marilyn Finley and her daughters Erica and Maressa. Judy later served for many years as senior branch office administrator at Edward Jones (Red Bridge) where she met dear friend Diane Perkins.

Judy was married to the love of her life, Army Veteran (Vietnam) Larry Robert McDowell, from 1971 until his death in 1999. She was also preceded in death by brother Robert Julian Blair. Judy is survived by cousin Linda Williams and her sons Dale and Eric, sister Barbara Peden, sister-in-law Elizabeth Blair (wife of Robert) as well as niece Laura Peden, nephew Mike Peden and his wife Nora Byers, niece Lisa Blair, nephew Matt Brewer, his wife Khela and their sons Alex and Sam, and nephew Steve Brewer, his wife Ann, and their children Elie, Sy, Julia, and Eddie.

Known for her sharp wit and dry humor, Judy was a caring friend, aunt, and neighbor. She will be missed by many.

A burial service was held April 26, 2025 at Belton Cemetery in Belton, Missouri,
