Judith Dawn Michael

Judith Dawn Michael, 82, of Waterville, passed away on October 8, 2023, at Woodlands Memory Care in Rockland, Maine. She was born on August 12, 1941, in Waterville.

Judi was a people person who enjoyed spending time with friends and getting involved. When her children were young, she was very active in the schools and loved helping people. She had a warm and caring personality that touched the lives of many.

After graduating from Lawrence High School in Fairfield, Judith attended cosmetology school in Portland. Years later, she pursued her passion for caring for others and earned her LPN from KVTC. She dedicated many years to working in the healthcare field, both at local hospitals and in home care.

Judi found solace and fulfillment in her faith and was a member of the Fairfield Church of the Nazarene. She actively participated in various church activities, including teaching Sunday school, leading women's groups, and visiting shut ins. She even shared her beautiful voice as a member of the church choir on occasion.

In her leisure time, Judi enjoyed various hobbies. She was an active and involved mother, raising her family with love and care. She also had a talent for crafting and was known for her skill as a seamstress. But her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and being involved with her church and engaging with the community.

Judith is survived by her son Adam Barnard (Dilkusha), Aaron Barnard (Tiffany), daughter Amy Davidson, Jessica Simmons (Jacob), and her grandchildren Sofia Barnard; Jaime Davidson, Joshua Davidson, Madison Beeney; Acadia, Aurora, Saffron, and Guinevere Simmons; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Pauline (Hodgkins) Michael, brother Jerald Michael, and daughter-in-law Carlene Michael.
