Dr. Orie gave my husband FIVE extra years with his new heart. She saved his life numerous times by adjusting his medications, fighting off rejection. When he passed, she was so kind and thoughtful, sending me the most beautiful handwritten note. I can still hear those high-heels clicking in the halls of AGH, and his smile when she walked through the door...feeling so safe and in such good hands. The medical profession has lost not only a brillian doctor...but a truly wonderful person!

Dr. Orie and family, Our family was sorry to hear of Judy's passing. We were probably one of the first patients that you served in the North Hills -- my Grandmothers name was Naomi Foertsch and my mother was Catherine Pollitt. I have just found a few Christmas cards with the pictures of your family on it from the late 50's, early 60's -- it brought back memories. In any case our family sends our prayers to yours and may God be with you always.

My deepest condolences to the Orie family. I felt such sadness and shock when I learned of Judy's passing. Judy was so beautiful, funny, and incredibly brilliant! And such style -- I remember her remarkable flair for fashion and her fabulous wardrobe. Judy was a classmate of mine in law school. She was one of those rare individuals who made class truly enjoyable. Despite the passage of time, it seems like only yesterday that we were laughing together before class. I am so very sorry for your loss. Judy was an exceptional person. She touched so many lives and left a lasting impression on each and every one of us. My love, thoughts, and prayers are with you.

To the Orie Family ,
Death may have selfishly robbed you of the joys and blessings of Judy's presence but not of the countless memories and spiritual impact of her absence. Know that she is resting comfortably in the palms of HIS hands and may she rest in peace. You are all in my prayers.

To the Orie family,
Please accept our deepest sympathies at the passing of Judy. She took care of my mother-in-law, Yolanda Botti, 14 years ago. Given little chance to live after suffering from congestive heart failure, she still survives to this day, primarily because of the care given to her by Dr. Judy at AGH. More importantly, Judy served as a tremendous support and friend to our family for the duration of time sharing a compassion that gave us hope and faith during difficult times. Although you may have passed to the next place, the symphony of your legacy plays on in our hearts forever.
God Bless you and your family,
Maria Botti-Lodovico and Jerry Lodovico

To the Orie Family,
Dr. Orie was not only an amazing doctor but a wonderful person as well. Over ten years ago, she diagnosed me with a very rare heart condition after I had been to numerous doctors seeking answers. She was relentless in discovering what was wrong with me. If it weren't for her I would not be alive today and the very proud mother of two wonderful boys. I am forever in her debt. Heaven has gained a true angel.

Family of Judith Orie,
I felt much sorrow when I learned of the death of Dr. Orie. I would see her in the halls at AGH although I didn't know her personally; but I did know that her patients adored her. She was such a great physician and super caring person. I am still so shocked by her passing She has found a special place with God. May she rest in peace, Amen.

May Dr. Orie rest in peace. Dr Orie was the doctor for many of the retired Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Going to see her was like going to visit family. She spent as much time as you needed, patiently explaining what the problem was and asking if there were any questions. She would always ask for prayers for herself and for her family. What a wonderful person she was. She will forever be remembered in prayer as will her family and friends.
Rest in peace, good an faithful servant.

November 7, 2011

Dear Orie Family,
My heart is so heavy. I can't even comprehend the loss to your family. I felt as though Judy was my family, too. Judy had such a zest for life, a great sense of humor, and always was up for a challenge. She never backed down from something that she believed in, and she fought with every ounce of energy for that principle. I admired and loved her for all of her unique qualities, and I will miss her. My heart goes out to all of you. Judy will leave a huge hole to fill in our hearts. She was a great friend and colleague. Love, Kathy Deloplaine (Jack too).

I have had the privilege of working wih Judy for nearly 25 years. She has treated several of my family members including my father and father-in-law and I have known her as a colleague and friend.

It saddens me to lose a dear friend and dedicated physician of the Cardiolovascular Institute. She was always stopping by in my office to "run by a new idea", to expand pateint services so as to help more patients.

I will miss her very much and I will keep her and her family in my prayers.
