Judith A. Perry (Korslund)

Judy passed peacefully out of this life on Saturday June 2, 2012 at Bethany Recovery Center in Everett, WA after a lengthy illness. She will be deeply missed. We found the following from her.
"I was the first born to Joseph and Dorothy Korslund on February 10, 1941 in Monroe, Washington. When I was six months old my parents moved to Everett, Washington.
I attended schools in Everett and graduated from Everett High School in 1959. After graduation I joined the Women's Army Corps. After my discharge I returned to Everett and worked in several businesses uptown. I retired from Farmers Insurance Claims Office.
Bill and I did not have any children of our own, but we still had many "kids" and "grandkids". We were very proud of all of them. Nephew, Kent Bowder and his wife, Patti, have a very special place in my heart and they have been there when ever I needed help. I also have a very special friend, Audrey Erickson, she was my "cab" driver to doctor's appointments and has always been there for me. There was also a special person, Sandi Lason, who was like a daughter to me.
I am survived by my brothers, Larry and his wife, Verna and Leonard and his wife, Martha; special nephew, Kent Bowder and his wife, Patti; niece, Rachel and her husband, John and their two children; nephew, Joseph Korslund and Carole Green and her two sons; special friends, Audrey Erickson and Lois and Steve Johnson. There is also my extended family at Windsor Square. If I have forgotten anyone please accept my apology. You must remember that I was a Senior Citizen and I sometimes had those "Senior Moments."
Those that have gone on before me were my husband, William and my parents, Joseph and Dorothy Korslund.
I have had a good life and I have enjoyed every minute I have been in this world. I am now in a better place and will join my family and friends that have gone on before me.
At my request there will be no services held. If you wish, make a donation to your favorite charity or one of my favorites."

My sincere sympathy and condolences to Judy's family. I worked at the bank too and she was a great person. Having run into Audrey several times at FM, she kept me up to date on how Judy was doing.

Judy was a very special lady. I worked with her at Olympic bank. We had alot of laughs together.

I'm so sorry to hear of Judy's passing, I knew her growing up, being neighbors for some years, she was a sweet gal, I remember the day she came down to the house, we lived just across the alley, she was so pleased the way she had got the back of her hair to wave just perfect, and it was, she was fun to be around, I liked to sit in her room and listen to her and her friends talk, I am three years younger so the fact she even let me join in was pretty neat to me. Judy's parents were so sweet, best neighbors you could ask for, a very special family. My condolences to the Perry and Korslund families. Rest in Peace dear Jude. Cherie McDermott Weitkamp

My condolences to the family of Judy Perry. I first met Judy when I was a member of the Forest Glade 4-H Club and Judy came to a meeting with her uncle who was assisting our regulars leaders. In later years I saw Judy when she worked at the bank with my brother, and then on the train when I was on my way to Montana and Judy was heading to Chicago to attend a reunion of some of her military friends.
