Judith Darlene Shill

21 June 1944 - 08 November 2024

Judith Darlene (Reedy) Shill passed peacefully into eternity on 8 November 2024, surrounded by family at her residence at Cedarwood Living in Sandy, Utah.

Judy was born on 21 June 1944 in Rupert, Idaho, to LeeRoy and Phyllis Marie (Oehler) Reedy, the oldest of four children. After graduating from Minidoka County High School, she moved to California where she met and fell in love with Kenneth Cecil Shill. They married in 1963 and were later sealed for all time and eternity in the Oakland California Temple. They made their home and life in West Sacramento (Broderick), California, where they raised their five children and a host of "adopted" kids.

Once the family had grown a bit, Judy worked for over 25 years at the California State Controller's Office, Division of Unclaimed Property, eventually retiring in 2009 to enjoy many years of traveling, spoiling grandchildren, and scrapbooking with friends. She loved serving with her

husband Ken in the West Sacramento Kiwanis Club and West Sacramento Ward.

Judy and Ken were married for over 60 years prior to Ken's passing earlier this year in March. Judy is survived by her sister Royce (Dan) Marlowe, brother Kelly

(Candace) Reedy, her children Ken (Honey Ann) Shill, Bryan (Stephanie) Shill, Tim (Mimi) Shill, Tami (Walt) Parker, Oren Shill, 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Cecil Shill, parents LeeRoy and Phyllis Reedy, and brother Irving Reedy.

Services will take place on Saturday, 16 November 2024 at the West Sacramento Ward, 2667 Linden Road, West Sacramento, CA 95691 at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 County Rd 22, Woodland, CA 95695. Funeral arrangements are provided by River Cities Funeral Chapel (https://rivercitiesfuneralchapel.com/).

Many summers Uncle Ken and Aunt Judy would come up to Alaska to visit my Grandparents. I have fond memories of sitting in the living room listening to them tell stories. Aunt Judy was such a gentle, loving person. I will miss her dearly.
