Grace Anthony Obituary
Born in Rangoon, Burma, April 24, 1941, she was daughter of the late P.M. Nayagam and A. Mary Nayagam. She was a Norwalk resident since 1983. Miss Anthony was a home care companion and an active member of St. Mary Parish. She especially loved Latin and the Latin Mass.
Survivors include two sisters, Theresa (Stella) Nayagam and Clara Mary Anthony; one brother, Augustine Anthony, all of Norwalk. Additionally, she is survived by 11 nephews and 13 nieces and 20 grand-nieces and nephews in America and Burma.
Grace is predeceased by her three brothers, M.A. Dawson, and Joseph and Robert Anthony, and by her sister Philomena Richard.
Grace's devotion to the people and the families she took care of was extraordinary. She was almost angelic. The warmth and comfort she extended to the elderly and sick people she took care of were exceptional. Grace was truly a beautiful person inside and out. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. My dear Grace, rest in peace.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 30th in St. Mary Church, 669 West Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Richard's Avenue, Norwalk.
