Judy McHugh Larkin

January 19, 1940 - January 28, 2023 Judy McHugh Larkin grew up in a show business family that included comedian Eddie Cantor and songwriter Jimmy McHugh. She attended Beverly Hills High School. In the early 1960's, she worked for McHugh promoting his songs including I'm In The Mood For Love and On The Sunny Side Of The Street. In the late 1960's, she worked in production on the NBC television comedy series Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. In the 1970's, she continued in television production, working at Universal Studios on The Bionic Woman and The Incredible Hulk with Bill Bixby.
In the 1980's, she was an agent at the John LaRocca Talent Group, representing writers and musicians. In the 1990's, she toured the world with her husband, singer John Larkin aka Scatman John. Scatman John sold millions of cds all over the world and earned 14 Gold and 18 Platinum Records. His hit songs included I'm The Scatman and Scatman's World. Scatman John passed away in 1999. Judy is survived by her son, Lee Newman; her grandson, Heston James Newman; her daughter-in-law, Christena Rich Newman; her brother, Jim McHugh and her sister, Adele McHugh Carter. Judy will always be remembered for her generosity and throwing a great party!
