Knoxville, TN

Judy Kay Mynatt Ogle, age 69, passed away August 4, 2017 at the University of Tennessee hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee after a short illness. A native of Knoxville, she graduated from Central High School in 1965. She attended Lee University.

Judy was a loyal helper and companion to the love of her life, Rev. William Michael Ogle. They met when they were 12 years old and would have been married 52 years on October 15. Judy was a gifted decorator and used these skill to bring beauty to United Methodist congregations in Dayton, Englewood, Decatur, Chattanooga, Louisville, and Bluff City Tennessee until Mike's retirement in 2013. She loved God and working in the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Spurgeon and Iva Lee Mynatt, her sister Linda Carol Riley, and a son-in- law Nathan Paul Garner. She is survived by her husband Mike, Cleveland, her son Mike (Angie), Blacksburg, VA, son Tim (Kristy), Cleveland, daughter Kelley Ogle Garner, LaJolla, California. Six Grandchildren, Haley Ogle Tilley (Justin), Cleveland, Mary Beth Ogle Spencer (Hunter), Cleveland, Emily Grace Ogle, Cleveland, Chris Allen Ogle, Cleveland, Joshusa Bryson Garner, and Madeline Grey Garner, LaJolla, CA. Two Great Grandchildren, Jackson Behr Tilley, Cleveland, age 11 months, and her newest great grandchild, Fletcher Ray Spencer, Cleveland, age 3 months.

Survived by friend and step mother Evelyn Mynatt, Knoxville, sister Donna Mynatt, Knoxville, 2 brothers, David Hodges (Dina), Brian (Kelly) Hodges, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday October 29, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 3425 N. Ocoee St., Cleveland, TN with Memorial service at 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital or your favorite charity. Ministers of the Holston Valley Conference and their spouses are invited to serve as Honorary Pallbearers. You are invited to share a personal memory of Judy or your condolences with her family at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Ogle family with these arrangements.

My prayers are with Judy's family at this time. May the Holy Ghost Comfort you and strengthen you now. Judy and her wonderful sister, Linda were a great help to me at Central Church of God years ago. God bless you and help you.
