Jule Hostetter Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 31, 2024.
Jule Ann Hostetter (née Kline), aged 79, passed away on July 30, 2024, in Ballwin, Missouri. She was born on July 23, 1945, in Quincy, Illinois, to the late Jesse E. and Eva Kline.

Jule dedicated her career to nurturing young minds as an elementary school teacher at Parker Roads Elementary in the Ferguson Florissant School District, Ferguson, MO. Her love for music also shone through her roles as an organist at St. Marks Presbyterian, St. Martin's Episcopal, and another church in North County St. Louis, MO.

A lover of the serene, Jule cherished the beauty of nature and wildlife. She was particularly fond of music, birds, and animals, often finding joy in the company of her beloved pets. Her grandchildren were a source of immense pride, and she adored hearing about their achievements and viewing their latest photos and videos.

Jule is survived by her son, Brian Hostetter (Paula Hostetter), and daughter, Annette Sundberg (Jay Sundberg). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Tanner McNair (Tyler McNair), Gannen Caruso, Ben Hostetter, Annika Hostetter, Skylar Sundberg, Gage Sundberg, Zane Sundberg, Anna Sundberg, and great-grandchildren, Lucas McNair, William McNair, Vianna Sundberg, Zaya Sundberg, and Ja'el Sundberg.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 - 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, at 247 Victoria Park Ave, Wentzville, MO 63385. The family invites close friends and relatives to join in honoring Jule's memory.

Every moment was special with my Aunt Jule. She was so kind and gentle and always doing everything for me and thinking about others. She was a wonderful listener and had such a beautiful smile and dimples. We shared a love of animals. I remember all of the times we spent boating, fishing and waterskiing and vacationing when I was growing up. Jule was always positive and I loved talking with her. I still remember her long and wonderful piano recital at the University of Illinois, I was amazed at her skill level. God now has a new organist and great friend to talk to about anything and everything. I will miss you but you will always be in my heart and make me smile, Aunt Jule. Love, jd stauffer jr.

Jule became my best friend when we met at St. Mark's Church, when Annette was just a toddler (Only a few years ago, right?)! We had many good times at her Lake of the Ozarks cottage, along with our accumulated 5 kids! She also worked arduously along with me in my greenhouse herb business - so YES, we were very close! Truly, I shall miss her!!!!

Jule and I were close friends in high school. I will always remember our attempts to play tennis, our shared confidences, and our music activities. Rest peacefully, Jule.

Jule was a sweet lady and always had a smile on her face when I got to visit with her. Jule definitely had a big heart for animals, she took in a dog off my hands when he needed a new home
