Dear Ray and Family, So sorry to hear if Juleen´s passing. I worked for her 19 years in the B-3 Seed Program at EdAdvance. She was such an advocate for early childhood education and development. She was a wonderful person to work for. My condolences to your family.

Juleen was my roommate Freshman year at The College of New Rochelle. Those of us in West 1 of St. Ursula Hall will always remember Juleen. She was well-known for her playful spirit, humor and the delightful way she would begin many of her sentences "Would you believe!!" and then inform us of some new information or fact she breathlessly couldn't wait to share.

One wonderful memory I have is accidentally running into Juleen on the beach by the Breezy Point Surf Club while I was on vacation there with my grandparents. She was so stunningly beautiful with her curly brown hair.

An English major like myself, we both came from very large families and she loved to talk about hers, especially her sisters. Reading her lovely obituary this morning, I was so impressed with the significant leadership role Juleen played in the area of early childhood services and not at all surprised.

Although we did not stay in touch I will always treasure and remember Juleen's fun-loving spirit, and watching her play solitaire on her bed every night before "lights out". Goodnight, sweet Juleen. May you rest in peace.

This is sad news to learn about Juleen. We were colleagues years ago when I was an adm in Danbury Public Schools. We collaborated together on several initiatives and work groups and I especially appreciated her follow-through on voluntary work-related 'assignments'

Juleen was my supervisor, mentor and dearest friend. She was guided by her beliefs and values in everything she did. Juleen recognized leadership qualities in others and supported her staff in developing their skills. Juleen´s visionary talents improved the lives of children, families, programs and systems. I was so lucky to be a part of her team. Although Alzheimer´s diminished her capacities it never destroyed her essence. Through her smile, laughter and kindness she continued to transform us. I will forever be grateful to have been influenced by Juleen in my career and life.
