Mrs. Julia Ann Deaton

Mrs. Julia Ann Pearson Deaton, 58, of Connelly Springs passed away Wednesday April 12, 2017 at her residence following a period of declining health. Julia was born May 25, 1958 in Burke County to the late Arthur Pearson and Ruth Sprouse Pearson. She worked at Carolina Shoe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Jose Arcension Rodriguez; and brother Donald Pearson. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Deaton, of Connelly Springs; son, Adrian Eric Rodriguez; brothers, Arthur "Babe" Pearson and wife Jessie of Morganton, and Bobby Pearson and wife Denise of Morganton; and sister Laura Rodriguez and husband Roy of Morganton. Also surviving are step daughters Crystal Moore and Lorrie Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1:00PM Saturday April 15, 2017 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with the Rev. Russell Makant officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Heritage Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care at 1721 Enon Rd. Valdese, NC 28690.
