Julia Lee Midkiff Hinton Lowman MARION, Va. Julia Lee Midkiff Hinton Lowman, age 81, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at the Valley Health Care. She was born in Wythe County, Va., to the late Charles and Ora Hoops Midkiff, and was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon W. Hinton; her second husband, James Lowman; and a twin sister and a brother. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to sew and make clothes for her family. Survivors include four daughters, Deborah Hinton and boyfriend Vance Mutter, Marion, Candace Overbay and husband Billy, Morristown, Tenn., Jill Fitchko and husband Dennis, Marion, Beth Hopkins and husband Phil, Marion, S.C.; grandchildren, Eric Parks, Julie Fisher Garland, Troy Fisher, Darren Fitchko, Lee Anne Fitchko, Megan Sitts, and Andy Hafer; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other loving family members. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home is serving the family.
