Julie Deanne Day

Julie Deanne (Olsen) Day, age 70, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in West Jordan, Utah. She will be interred in a private grave dedication at the South Jordan Cemetery. Born on August 9, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Julie was known for her creativity, compassion, and sense of humor.

Julie spent her childhood in Utah and California before embarking on a mission to Belgium for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After her mission, she moved to Alaska and eventually settled in Nevada with her family. She dedicated many years of her professional life as a secretary at Virginia City High School. Her unwavering commitment to the school and its students left a lasting impression on everyone she worked with and served.

Julie's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Her favorite farewell to them was often, "Remember who you are and what you stand for." Julie is lovingly remembered by her children Brian, Kelsey, Stephanie, and Max (Lynsey); grandchildren Tyson, Jackson, Elise, Zoe, and Noelle; sister Roxanne (James) Rawlings; brother David (Terri) Olsen; sister-in-law Jackie (Randall) Olsen; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clare Kay Olsen and Caleen Adams Olsen, and her brother Randall K. Olsen.

Julie found simple pleasures in reading a good book, crafting, decorating, enjoying the company of her grandchildren, or sipping on a refreshing Diet Coke. Her sense of humor was infectious-she always wanted to make others laugh. May her memory bring comfort and joy to those whose lives she touched.
