Julie A. Kirchoff

Julie Ann Kirchoff was born on January 14, 1967, in New Ulm, Minnesota. She was the daughter of James and Joane (Rathke) Burmeister. Julie was baptized as an infant, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Fernando, Round Grove Township, Minnesota. She received her education in Stewart, Minnesota and was a graduate of the Stewart High School Class of 1985. On June 28, 1986, Julie was united in marriage to Jeff Kirchoff at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Fernando. This marriage was blessed with 3 daughters, Kimberly, Melissa and Morgan. Julie and Jeff resided in Hutchinson, Minnesota. They shared 26 years of marriage. Julie was employed at Sears in Hutchinson for the last 14 years, and also worked at their Apple Shack orchard. She was previously employed at Ace Hardware in Hutchinson. Julie was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson and led the neighborhood cancer fundraising drive for several years. Julie was an excellent baker and craftsperson. She loved gardening, canning and working on their farm. Julie also enjoyed traveling with her family, playing volleyball at the Park and Rec Center in Hutchinson and going to tractor pulls. She cherished spending time with her family and friends. Julie was diagnosed in December, 2011, with stage 4 triple negative breast cancer. She passed away January 27, 2013, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, Minnesota, at the age of 46 years after a courageous 13 month battle. Blessed be her memory. Julie is survived by her: Husband, Jeff Kirchoff, of Hutchinson, MN; Children, Kimberly Kirchoff and her husband, Peter Radloff of Hutchinson, MN, Melissa Kirchoff and her significant other, Ovie Steve Ovadje of Hutchinson, MN, Morgan Kirchoff of Hutchinson, MN; Father, Jim Burmeister of Stewart, MN; Brothers, Jerome Burmeister and his wife, Kelli of Hutchinson, MN, Joel Burmeister and his wife, Diane of Buffalo Lake, MN, Jody Burmeister and his significant other, Joanne Schellenberg of Stewart, MN; Parents-In-Law, James and Virginia Kirchoff of Hutchinson, MN; Sisters-In-Law, Nancy Stockmann and her husband, Dean of Stewart, MN, Kristin Roepke and her husband, Rick of Silver Lake, MN; Nieces and Nephews, Jeremy, Aron and Jonathon Burmeister, Ashley and Vanessa Burmeister, Matthew Burmeister, Leah Lueck, Samantha Hanson, Curtis Stockmann, Katie Reinke and her husband, Mike, Kelsey Rosenau and her husband, Darrin, Gabe, Maren and Luke Roepke; and many other relatives and friends. Julie is preceded in death by her Mother, Joane Burmeister and a brother in infancy.
