Julie McCURDIE Obituary
Julie McCurdie passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016 surrounded by her family at the Ottawa General Hospital at the age of 50. Beloved wife of Glen McCurdie for 28 years. Devoted Mother of Melissa and Matthew. Cherished Daughter of Richard and Mary Lacelle. Loving sister of Kim (Albert) Lacelle, Shawn Lacelle and Phil (Jen) Lacelle, loved Daughter-in-law of Ian and Sheila McCurdie, and Sister-in-Law of Greg and Trish McCurdie. Julie will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may pay respects at

On Thursday, October 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 14 at St. Leonard's Church, 5332 Long Island Rd. Manotick. In Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.

Throughout her life the one constant was her smile and that sweet laugh. We grew older, but she always kept that light that made everyone feel special. When I spoke to my girls about Julie, we remembered the fantastic time when she saw us wondering around at Dickinson day weekend (between dance performances) and told us to get in her back yard for some fun! They were well looked after my Matt, jumped on the trampoline and Julie and I enjoyed some time together sitting by the water. It was such a relaxing afternoon for this harried Mum. She just knew what to do, and I was so grateful You are all in my heart and thoughts. xoxoxo

I am thankful to have grown up with you and am sad that I won't grow old with you.
