Julie Evelyn Reeves, 50, of Culpeper, Virginia, died on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on December 25, 1961, in Sierra Vista, Arizona, to Paul and Peggy Smith Reeves. She was preceded in death by one brother, William Wayne Reeves; her grandmother, Muriel Cooper; her grandfather, Wayne Reeves; and her grandparents, William and Minnie Smith. Julie had moved to the area from Burke, Virginia, and resided in Culpeper for the past six years. She attended Parkwood Baptist Church in Annandale, Virginia, and Culpeper Baptist Church in Culpeper. She loved the sunshine, sports, children and animals. During high school, Julie was part of the soccer and gymnastics All Stars. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and had a passion for working with young children. Julie had many long lasting friendships and will always be loved, missed and remembered. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son, Devin Michael Reeves and his fiance, Patricia Lyn Jenkins of Culpeper; one brother, Paul L. Reeves and his wife, Betsy, of Burlington, North Carolina; one sister, Kelly B. Lambert and her husband, David, of Bealeton, Virginia; five nephews, Nic, Alec and Ike Reeves, all of Burlington, North Carolina, Ryan Lambert of Bealeton, and Miles Lambert and his wife, Aimee, of Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland; her four year old granddaughter, Savannah Michelle Reeves; and 11 month old grandson, Devin Michael Reeves Jr., both of Culpeper. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2012, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
