Uncle Malcolm was more than just an Uncle to me. When my mom (his sister) Died 32 years ago...Him and Aunt Linda jumped in where momma left off. He Loved Deep, his love was real and his love was unconditional. I am extremely thankful that Julie, Jeff, Beth, David, Donnie and I are as close as we have ever been and I'm even more thankful, he got to witness that. At his funeral the 6 of us vowed that we will continue his Legacy in ways we know he, my mother and our grandmother (Minnie Lee Lindy) would be proud!. We will all miss him terribly.

Thank you Uncle Malcolm for always being there for me even when I made it difficult for anyone to do so. I'm so grateful for the last 10yrs especially. And feel blessed to have spoken with you a couple of times the week of your unexpected passing. My prayers & heartfelt sympathy are with my cousins& their families & with Dale Shields who made you so happy these last several years. May you rest in peace with your beloved wife & my beloved aunt, Linda. You always supported the underdogs in life not only within your own family but with countless needy strangers that came your way in life.

I went to Junior High and High School with Malcolm. We renewed our friendship in Atlanta and had some marvelous evenings dining out with he and Dale. My husband enjoyed Malcolm's philosophy and political views. We will miss him terribly. What a special man! Maerene Cooper Fischer and Daryl Fischer, Sr.

RIP, Sir! He helped us so much when we were young homeless advocates here in Huntsville, with both wise words, and donations in emergencies when no one else could help! I will never forget him meeting me in the early morning hours on a Sunday at Popeye's South, many moons ago, to give us cash for a critical homeless person's need. Such a sweet and giving spirit will never be forgotten.

I knew and loved Malcolm from grammar school on. Never self promoting, always friendly and kind along with amazing wit. We talked a few times a year just updating on old Jackson friends and catching up on everyone's life. Malcolm's death will be felt in many places especially in Jackson, Tennessee among JHS class of 1954.

Malcolm was a giant among men. He knew how to give back and shared with everyone. When we began our restaurant, he generously advised us from his experience. He was a real Mensch and will be sorely missed. We are blessed to have known him.

Malcolm had an endearing smile and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a dear friend and a big part of our racquetball group in Atlanta. I will always remember the personal tour he gave me of the Bremen Jewish Heritage Center and, as an Auburn fan, jawing with him about our great football rivalry. Rest in Peace, Lefty! You will be greatly missed.

Such a kind and generous person when we served together in Huntsville, AL regarding the street homeless. Malcolm was a "peace maker" in the finest sense of the word, calm, thoughtful, always bringing common sense to any issues we faced. His loss to our world is tremendous and I will miss him.
