ROSENSTEIN, Julius. Peacefully in his ninety-fifth year on Thursday, February 12, 2004. Husband of the late Dorothy Gordon. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Hannah and Mort Wolch, Donna and Eric Rodier. Cherished grandpa of Shari and Howard Skolnik, Brahm and Ilana Wolch; Mitchell and Elysa Rodier. Proud great-grandfather of Ashley, Derek and Rylee. Dear brother-in-law of Saul and the late Rose Gordon, Miriam and the late Eddie Gruman, and Norma Rosentein. Predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Max and Gertie, Issie and Esther, Phil, Rebecca and Joe Goldenberg and by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Rae and Irving Griff, Michael Gordon, Harry and Lil Gordon, Moe and Eileen Gordon. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends including those at the Castel Royale where he enjoyed a wonderful quality of life for the past five years. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to his caregivers Chris, Tony, Lyndee and especially Belle for their care, kindness and devotion. Many thanks to the staff of 8NW of the Jewish General Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Sunday, February 15 at 11:30 a.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, Section 2, de la Savane. Shiva at 43 Inglewood Drive, D.D.O. Contributions in his memory may be made to the "Dorothy and Julius Rosentstein Fund for Cardiology" c/o Jewish General Hospital Foundation, 340-8251.
