Julius SAND Obituary
Died peacefully in Miami Beach, Florida on Monday April 18, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Bunny (Roslyn nee Besner), devoted and cherished father and father-in-law of Shelly and David Azrad, Tammy and David Friedman, Karen and Michael Rosenbloom, Brian and Karen Sand and Tiva and Lior Leser. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Shany z'l and Michael z'l Herschorn, Manuel and Esterella Sand, Ruth and Issie z'l Messer, Malca and Louis Drazin and Sheila and Salim Telio. Proud and adoring Zaidy of 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Burial in Israel, Shiva in Petach Tikvah, Israel and Miami Beach, Florida. Shiva will terminate Friday at 12 p.m.

This is Sallye from El Al. I don't think that I ever met Julius, but whenever he would call my office he was always a pleasure to talk to. I will miss hearing from him and hope that his family is comforted by the memory of this loving man.

Dear Aunty Bunny, Shelly, Tammy, Karen, Brian and Tiva; Uncle Menu, Aunty Ruthy, Aunty Malca and Aunty Sheila; and families: Uncle Julius z'l will be missed by all who loved him, including me. He was kind, generous, funny and quirky in a good way. I will never forget his hospitality at The Sovereign each year and the interesting 'assignments' I got on rainy days (phone operator, guest liaison, clerical support :-)). Family dinners at The Hungarian and his home, night-runs to Fedco, Bingo games, movie nights and New Year's. Miami Beach was a different place then. It will never be the same for me without him.
