June Katherine Bledsoe, age 91, of Rockwood, TN passed away March 23, 2016 at Victorian Square in Rockwood after suffering from dementia. She was born February 18, 1925 in Pennington Gap, VA and grew up in Harlan County, KY. She was a loving and compassionate wife; mother and friend who treated everyone with kindness and everyone enjoyed her wit and sense of humor. She was adored by her three children, her granddaughter and all who knew her. She loved being a mother and homemaker and treasured the time with her family.

June is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-nine years, Raymond Stanley Bledsoe; and her parents, John and Rhoda Brittian. She is survived by her daughter, Pamella Bledsoe; her son, Kenneth Ray Bledsoe and wife Kathy; her son, Samuel Bledsoe and wife Charlene; sister, Mattie Lee Terry and husband Preston; sister, Delores Maulk; granddaughter, Karen Januski and husband Matt; great-granddaughters, Hannah and Mia Januski; nieces, Sandy Brittian and husband Chuck, Connie Wilkins and husband Jack; and several nephews and nieces. The family would like to express its deep appreciation to the staff at Victorian Square for their many kindnesses and loving care of June over the last few months.

Arrangements are as follows: The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25 at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. There will be a private interment service following at 1:00 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Charles Kelley, officiating. Evans Mortuary is serving the Family of Mrs. June Katherine Bledsoe.
