Vivian Mueller

Vivian (Freitag) Mueller Vivian L. Mueller, age 82, died at Essentia Health on Wed., Dec. 25, 2013 in Fargo, ND. Vivian Lillian Freitag was born to Albert and Lillian (Mallow) Freitag on July 8, 1931 in Embden, ND. She lived in the Embden-Buffalo area until May 2, 1949, at which time she married Donald Mueller. She began her years of travel, as her husband was a military man. Vivian was a wonderful military wife. She helped her husband through 22 years of service. She would do anything to be with him and could still have the time for 2 sons. She was often called upon by Donald's commanders to organize clubs for the enlisted wives, which she had no problem doing. Vivian returned to the Fargo area in 1970, where she has resided since. She was taken care of at ManorCare for most of the past year and was liked by almost everyone that worked there, and was treated well by all. Vivian was a wonderful mother and wonderful wife for 64 years. Vivian's favorite past time was video poker at the casinos. In her younger years fishing and cooking was her favorite, but of course she was very good at all three. She loved to kid around, especially with her friends George and Carolyn. She is survived by her husband, Donald Mueller of Fargo; son, Daniel (Yun) Mueller of Fayetteville, NC; sisters, Luann Hartl of Fargo and Bonita Wellentin of Enderlin; 3 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; and 2 great-grandsons. Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lillian Freitag; son, Brad Mueller; and sisters, Vernice Mueller and Verna Gust. Vivian was in a lot of pain and her family is very thankful for the good care and kindness she received at Essentia Health and Manorcare. Funeral: Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11 AM at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo with visitation one hour prior and reception to follow. Interment: Buffalo Cemetery. westfuneralhome.com
