Hi daddy I used your wire cutters today I took the flowers off the stands that the Bright and Cummings family sent. Mother and I got to enjoy their beauty for a few days and the sweet aroma that filled the garage and the back patio. Writing this tonight feels just like our many conversations, past, present, future. I guess I'm just one of the lucky one's left here on earth...I feel like you've never left me. And that's the most lovely gift my heart could have ever ask for. Still loving you and Mother today, and forever.

The love that family and friends have for Earl is a testament to how great a man he was. The last time I saw him, I stopped by to spend time and hang out with Marie before leaving town. Earl had the biggest smile and gave me a great warm hug. I'm so glad he was able to take his family cross country in their RV and remember how concerned everyone was when he and Granny were driving alone. To me, Earl was a rock of a person; grounded and always taking care of his family and business. So complimentary to Granny who is always so sweet and giving (and a knock out, especially in her prime!). Knowing Marie who is one of my dearest friends and a mother to me, is to know Earl. Those of us who are lucky to cross paths with the Taylor family are better people for it. Thank you Earl for being a light.

I know that I will never know a stronger, better, more generous or more selfless man than Grandaddy. Or one with a better work ethic no matter was was being worked at. Every time I go to the gym or get up to walk the park I'm going to be hearing his voice in my head telling me to 'Work hard and walk around the block a couple times!' and I'm gonna bring him 'tulips' whenever I can.
His 'little angel' is going to miss being able to hug him every day for the rest of my life but I am so incredibly blessed to be able to call myself Junior Earl Taylor's granddaughter and incredibly proud of the life he lived and all he accomplished.

As we go through life there are people that make a lasting impression on us. Earl was that type person. I sold welding equipment. There was never a time that he did not take time to talk to you. He was always nice, kind, considerate, thoughtful, and just a pleasure to do business with. My thoughts and Prayers are with the Family on this great loss.

Earl Taylor was the true definition of a man and such a good Father and husband. He was so loved and respected by his family and friends.
Towards the end of his life I wrote him a poem to express to him what a wonderful man he was. He will be truly missed, but will live on in spirit in the hearts of everyone he loved and those who loved him.
A Poem to Mr. Earl Taylor from Gloria Howard
Mr. Earl Taylor, is a man I'm glad to know
I've had the pleasure, of watching his family grow,
Earl worked really hard, all of his life,
He took good care of his children, and his precious wife,
He truly has a heart of gold,
But like all of us, he is getting old,
Life is about family, and memories you make,
Thank you Earl, for making them great,
I love your smile, even without your teeth,
Love, caring, and generosity, is what's beneath
He is sweet as sugar, and tough as leather,
He has made it through all kinds of weather,
I'm glad my sister Debbie became your Son's wife, Because knowing you Earl has added to my life,
The reason for this poem, to you Earl from me, I hope you can see,
Is to remind you Earl, of what a good man, Father, and husband you are, and how much you are loved by your Family.
With love, Gloria and Al Howard

I feel lucky to have met Earl, though it was later in life, I got to meet a great man. He was ambitious, successful, smiling, sweet, and kind. He always gave me a kiss when I saw him. Earl was a man full of interesting stories of old times that his wife Helen would add excitement to, and finish. I am eased of sadness when I think of the end of his life as he lived a long, fulfilled life, and was well taken care of well by his loving family. Marie could not have taken better initiative to offer comfort, support, care, and attention to basic needs at the end of his life. I cannot think of a more peaceful way to pass on to the next phase of life and death, than the way he was, surrounded by great love. The family has a new angel watching over them.
