Alice Gilliland Obituary
Burial will be in Bascom Cemetery.
Mrs. Gilliland died Jan. 9, 2007, in Tyler.
She was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Etowah County, Ala., to the late John and Lena Argo Simmons. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Eugene Gilliland and Benjamin Butler; sons, Davis and Howard Gilliland; and brothers and sisters.
Survivors include daughters, Alice Hullett, Lindale, Shirley Fernandez, Tyler, and Melinda Buckley, Bullard; son, Bobby Gilliland, Tyler; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Gonzo Fernandez, Gonzalo Fernandez, Tim Buckley, Corey Buckley, Jacob Chaffin and P.J. Hall.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
