Justin Ray Dawson
June 12th, 1990 - August 26th, 2023
Our beautiful boy, Justin Ray Dawson was born on June 12th, 1990 to Tommy & Jettie Dawson of Elkin, NC. Justin didn’t speak, but his life spoke volumes to those who knew and loved him. Justin ran into the arms of Jesus on the early morning of August 26th, 2023 at Novant Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by his precious mother, father, sister, and family. Justin’s life is a testimony to God’s grace, mercy, and strength. His mother & father spent 33 years by his side caring, loving, nurturing, and fighting for him every single day. Indeed evidence of a praying mother and father. Justin wasn’t expected to live to the age of 1, but beat all odds by the grace of God, and the exceptional care given by his parents, and surpassed the doctor's diagnoses. Faith in our Lord, Jesus carried him through, and ushered him into His presence, where we know one day we will be with him again very soon. Life is but a speck of sand on the beach of eternity, and we know beyond a shadow of a doubt he is at the feet of Jesus, free from every physical limitation. Justin is free, with a brand new body, running, talking, singing, eating, and dancing in the presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Justin’s Celebration of Life service will be on Wednesday, August 30th, 2023, at The Bridge Church, 574 Slate Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Visitation for family and friends will be from 12 pm-2 pm, with the Celebration of Life beginning promptly at 2 pm, with a graveside service and balloon release to follow at Rocky Ford Baptist Church in Dobson, NC.
In addition to his parents, Justin is survived by his sissy, Amber, and brother-in-law, Christian. Three special nephews, and one niece, Jayden, Mason, Payton & Grayson. Maternal grandparents, Faye & JD Shew. His special Aunt, Dara Dawson. Aunts and uncles on his mother's side, William & Melissa Shew, Mike & Becky Martin. Aunts and uncles on his father's side, Jeramie & Kendra Dawson, Debbie & Ronnie Pruitt, Jesse & Tammy Dawson, Dianne & Joey Daniels, and Terry & Irene Dawson, and numerous cousins and other relatives and friends that knew and loved him so much.
Justin joined his loving grandparents, Jessie Franklin Sr. & Mary Lou Dawson, as well as Elizabeth Caudill (Mawmaw Turtle) and many other loved ones gone to Heaven before.
The family would like to thank Dr. Klinepeter, Dr. Tarter, and all of Justin's special nurses, CNAs, and other medical staff who helped care for Justin. We would like to thank the staff at Bayada, Aviana Home Health, Hugh Chatham Health, and Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center who helped take care of Justin during his life.
The family appreciates all of the love, prayers, and thoughts during this time.
