JUSTIN DEVAUGHN MOUREN

(October 15, 1976 to September 17, 2022)

Justin was born in San Francisco and grew up in Tiburon where he lived with his mother, Billie Jo Mouren. He graduated junior high and high school at Woodside Priory in Portola Valley. After graduation he traveled to Santa Barbara to attend college and spent the majority of his adult life. Justin respected nature and loved to garden and cook. He enjoyed golf, mountain biking, running, and hiking in Yosemite. He played soccer most of his life. He was a strong and skilled soccer player and played on the Santa Barbara (adult) Soccer Team. He loved spending time with his son, his friends and going to the beach. Justin was a proud and loving father to his son, Koa. When diagnosed with ALS Justin displayed remarkable courage, perseverance and determination. He found the inner strength to fight this devastating illness for seven harrowing years. He passed away in Santa Barbara at the age of 45. Justin sincerely appreciated his many friends and caregivers for their compassionate care, loving support and their companionship and especially Dr. Philip Delio of Santa Barbara, who was so dedicated and supportive during this very difficult time. Justin is resting peacefully, reunited with his loving grandparents Papa Bill and Doris ('Mom') Mouren, cousin Robbie (Robert W. Lee) and Uncle Howard Mouren. He is survived by his beloved son Koa Devaughn Mouren, Koa's mother Erykah, his aunts and numerous cousins, his loving mother Billie Jo Mouren (who passed in 2025), His ashes were scattered at sea in Santa Barbara. Rest in eternal serenity, pain free, and once again standing tall and strong.
