Justin Louis Volpe of Cleveland, Ohio, found eternal serenity on September 8, 2020 at the age of 33. Justin was a ray of light shining behind a mountain's brim. And while he would likely cringe at this metaphor, those of us blessed to love him and be loved by him know that there is no truer symbol for the beautiful gift he was to this world. Mountains were of significant meaning to Justin - symbolizing both the weight of the world and our potential to overcome. He knew too well how steep, and unforgiving life's climb could be, and yet, even amidst treacherous ascent, he continued to shine a healing path for those around him. Quick with a smile, disarming in his humor, and genuine in his connection, he fostered an immediate sense of belonging to all who crossed his path. Justin founded Circle Mountain, a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting and empowering the incarcerated. Steadfast in his compassion and love for the most downtrodden among us, he carried the burden of being a light in our darkness. And while Justin shined in so many brilliant rays for others, his own brightest light and greatest gift was his beloved son, Joseph "Joey" Anthony age (6 1/2). It was for Joey that he strove, overcame, kept learning, and kept climbing. And it is for him that he will continue to shine from behind celestial mountains. Along with Joey, Justin leaves behind his mother and stepfather Ellen (Moser) and Steve Krutowsky; siblings Matthew, Kira, Vanya, Simone, and Josh; nieces and nephews, Matthew "Bucky", son of Matthew Volpe, Jaxon and Stella, children of Trevor and Simone (Krutowsky) Stewart; maternal grandmother, Joan Moser; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He joins his late father, Greg Volpe; maternal grandfather, Roy Moser II; paternal grandparents, Louis and Patricia (Bessing) Volpe; paternal aunts, Linda and Lisa Volpe; and maternal uncle, Roy Moser III in Heaven. A private family funeral will be held on Saturday, September 12. In celebration of Justin's light, memorial donations may be made to The Huntington's Disease Society of America and Center for Employment Opportunities, two causes close to his heart. Volpe/Krutowsky Family

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss of Justin! I truly loved being part of his son’s life those few years and his sweet nature surely came from his dad! Justin was always so kind when he would come in and passionate about his non-profit he was starting but more than anything his bond with Joey. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family ❤

We were thick as thieves in high school. You had my back, and I had yours. It didn't matter how many years had passed between us, we could just pick up our friendship right where we left off. Justin, you were such a kind, loving and FUNNY soul and your smile lit up every room you walked through. I pray you're resting peacefully and that your family receives the love and support they need at this time. Until we meet again. Love you, my friend. ❤

Dear Justin, I will always keep all the good memories of you in my mind and heart. I remember you as the big brother who babysat Kira and Vanya. I remember, when surrounded by friends, the look in your eyes and on your face so proud of how good your mother was playing tennis. I will always remember you as a kind and funny guy who loved his mother and son very very much. Rest In Peace. Margaret Lucia
