Kaitlyn Young Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 5, 2018.
Kaitlyn Alana Young "Katie" was 20 when she passed on November 2, 2018. She was a beautiful miracle baby and a gift from God given to Jeff and Kathy Young on July 26, 1998.

Katie was a second-year student attending Sante Fe College in Gainesville, Florida. She was undecided on her major, but she had mentioned several times that she wanted to be a social worker. The community would have been lucky to have her support for others in their time of need. Her heart was full of love and she touched so many during her short time here with us.

Immediate surviving family members: Her parents, Jeff and Kathy Young, her siblings, Samantha Young, Justin Young (wife, Ashley Young). Her grandparents, Jack and Mary Jane Fields and Bill and Paulette Young. Our family has experienced many losses over the years, but we know that she is in the comfort of our Lord rejoicing with them all now.

Katie was an animal lover. The house was always full of her furry friends. We would ask that you consider donating to the ASPCA on her behalf.

Though Katie is no longer physically present, she will never be forgotten. Her infectious laugh, amazing eyes and beautiful smile will live on in our memories forever. We love you more, Katie Bug.

In honor of Katie Young, our family is asking that if you would prefer to donate in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her honor to the ASPCA, which provides life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide. Katie held a special place in her heart for animals and we know she would prefer this. Please join us in celebrating her life and pay tribute by making a donation to give abused and homeless animals a second chance at life. https://secure.aspca.org/team/KatieY-memorial-campaign
