I am so sorry to read today of the passing of Karen. I looked for her after I read that Robin had passed away, hoping to pass on my condolences. I fondly remember her precise instructions for watering the plants that she cared for in the Sidney Smith building at U of T, when she and Robin were taking a holiday and I'd been asked to help out. My father and Robin were very good friends. Robin and Karen often spent time in Deep River (my hometown) in the summers for Robin to work at AECL with my father and other colleagues. They even rented our house in the summer once when we were away at our cottage. Robin and Karen were very welcoming of little country mouse me when I first came to University of Toronto. Robin had encouraged us to consider the Arts & Science program there. Sadly, I don't remember Keir and Drew, but please accept my heartfelt condolences. I had been looking for your father on the U of T website to make sure he knew my father had passed away, since we didn't hear anything from them after the fact, and now I know why. My mother has passed away now too. Condolences to you and your families.

Dearest Drew, Keir and Catherine,
Please forgive my faltering wording in this message.
Having recently lost my own father, and spending much of my free time reminiscing on happier occasions long past, I suddenly felt the intuitive inspiration to see how your parents were doing, and it was with surprise and dismay that I happened upon both of their obituaries.
Please accept my deepest condolences and sympathies on their passing.
I have many fond memories of them while we were all living on Huron St. Indeed, they are among the kindest, most intelligent and most gracious people I have known.
Even though it has been a very long time since I have seen them, I shall miss them, as I miss the conversations and laughter we all shared.
Sending Heartfelt Comforting Hugs and All My Love,
Krystina Inokai
