Funeral services for Karen Coley Brunson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Dry Prong with Reverend Lloyd Whitman and Reverend Clovis Sturdivan officiating. Burial will be in Dry Prong Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and continued Wednesday at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Brunson, 65, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Jackson Parish Hospital, Jonesboro.

Mrs. Brunson was a graduate of Jena High School and a member of Springhill Baptist Church, Jonesboro. During her working years, she worked for Justiss Oil Company and was a devoted pastor's wife.

Her parents, Hal and Martha Shepard Coley, preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 17 years, Reverend Melvin "Mac" Brunson; daughters, Ashley Allbritton Howard and husband, Kyle, Karen Brunson LaGrone and husband, Ben and Laura Brunson; son, Chris Brunson and wife, Dana; brother, Ken Coley; grandchildren, Marion Howard, Emma Howard, Daylon Howard, Adrianna Brunson Harris and Bailey Brunson; great grandson, Talon Harris and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Chris Brunson, Sonny Cox, Carl Gates, Gary Gates, Kyle Howard and Ben LaGrone.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Carter, Glenn Colley, John Kelly, John Dell Self and Jody Stuckey.
