wendy: frances just sent me a notice about Karen. I'm so sorry. There are so many memories from the days on 3rd Street with you worrying about the girls and loving them and praising them. 3rd Street now seems like a sy-fy movie, with the Enclosures people and Arthur and our poor accountants and Annie's. but amid all of that nonsense there was always you and Harry and the girls and such a welcoming and calming sense of normalcy. this loss thing is getting old, as are we. i'm beginning to resemble my mother with a magnifying glass and the Idaho Daily Statesman's obits spread out on the kitchen table (no glass yet but can see it coming). Thinking of you and your family at the holiday season which seems to be the hardest. You are very lucky to have family with you. Judy Banis

May you find peace and comfort in the wonderful gift God has given us mentioned in John 3:16 during this time of stress. Draw close to God and he will draw close to you.

I met Karen when she worked for Chevron. She was a lovely lady - always happy and full of kindness. She will be missed.

Karen, It's been such a long time since I saw you and Ray. I'm sorry I didn't make more of an effort to stay in touch. Life sometimes pulls us in different directions. I don't think we ever gave much thought that days like this would arrive. I remember you so well. During the 80s, when we hung out, we had a lot of fun, cracking jokes, taking that trip to Hawaii...I even sold you guys your first home, and housesit when you guys were away. We had the same nutty sense of humor. That's the Karen I'll remember the rest of my life. Rest in peace. Derek
