Karen June Crebo, 83, a lifelong resident of Rock Falls, passed surrounded by loved ones on Jan 28th, 2023.
She was born on March 4, 1939 in Sterling, IL, the daughter of Howard and Marjorie (Riser) Culver. She married the love of her life Edward M Crebo on March 12, 1960.
She loved her family, spending time and being part of the grandchildren's milestones. She was very proud of them all. Karen was a 1957 Sterling grad, an active member in the American Legion Auxiliary in Rock Falls, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sterling. Her interests included the love of Bingo, cross stitching, reading, playing cards, and bowling back in the day. Loved her faithful cat, CeCe. She worked at Howie's Snack bar, Maid Rite, Sloppy Jeans, Bob Dietz paint store, and Dr. E. Orval DeWeerth and Dr. Don Rastede dental office.
She is survived by her sons, Howard Crebo and Donald (Michelle) Crebo; 4 grandchildren, Danae (Andrew) Barker, Kaitlyn, Justin, Alyssa Crebo; and 6 great grandchildren. She has one sister, Margie Willett and 30 nieces and nephews.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Marjorie Culver; her stepmother, Juanita Culver; Husband, Edward Crebo; Brothers, Howard (Anna) Culver and Darrell (Estelle) Culver; Stepsister, Roberta Zivney; Step Brothers, Richard (RuthAnn) Kilroy and Ivan Kilroy; Step Sister, Carolyn (Clarence Jr) Fargher; and Daughter in law, Karen Crebo.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Reverend Dr. Christina Berry officiating. Burial will conclude at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
