Karen Lee Geary UPPER Karen Lee Lindquist Geary, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully in Corinth, Texas on October 17, 2024, at the age of 78, due to complications of Lupus. Karen showed courage and strength with grace throughout her life. Karen was able to bring kindness and generosity to friends and family alike through her sound advice, and compassionate spirit.
Karen was born November 21, 1945, to George Irving and Dorothy Gilmour Lindquist in Suffren, New York. In 1999, Karen and Patrick moved to Galveston, Texas to run the Coppersmith Inn Bed & Breakfast. At the Coppersmith Inn, Karen and Patrick loved to meet new people from all over the world. One thing that Karen especially loved was making breakfast for their guests. While in Galveston, Karen continued to be involved in many organizations, including Meals on Wheels, the garden club, and Olli. She also loved to work on the family's genealogy alongside Patrick and Sue. On February 5, 2016, Karen joined Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) with her sister Sue, after working on the genealogy of a family patriot. The DAR was an important part of Karen's life.
