Karen Gonzalez, 59, passed away on January 18, 2025. Born April 19, 1965 to Anna Benola Hummel and Everett Lehmann in Seguin, TX. She married Albert Gonzalez in 2004 and they enjoyed 20 cherished years together. Karen is remembered for her heart of gold, care for nature, and deep devotion to her loved ones and her faith. Karen was a strong, kind, and generous mother, wife, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Albert Gonzalez; daughter, Elizabeth Cook; siblings Ronald Lehmann, Jackie Pomrenke (Fred), and David Lehmann; step-mom Josie Lehmann; in addition to several siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Karen made many lifelong friendships and will be greatly missed by all who had the honor and privilege of knowing and loving her.

In honoring Karen's love for animals and community, please consider a donation to the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition or the San Antonio Food Bank.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, February 21 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Evangelist Lutheran Church, 7745 Kingsbury Rd, Kingsbury, TX 78638.
