I will never forget you, Karen! You were so kind to me when I needed an example of strength, determination, and a will to press on! You reached out with encouragement and a reassuring smile and just the right counsel! May the Lord bless you and keep you! May his face shine upon you and be gracious to you! May He lift up his countenance to you and give you peace! I pray the same for Celso and your family! Thank you for loving each other and loving others!!!

I was blessed to be one of her students at Rutgers. She will be missed. Dr. Hess de Sánchez was always able and willing to listen, help and inspire people around her. She came to our school district to provide professional development in our World Language Program. You will always be remembered

I had the pleasure of being a student of Mrs. Sanchez while at Franklin High School. She was simply lovely and very passionate about her teaching and her students. Thank you Mrs. Sanchez for being the wonderful teacher and person you were.

I am so grateful to have been taught by Professor Sánchez---she was so full of life & her presence was simply inspiring. Her passion and joy left a lasting impression on me, and every single one of her students. Espero que ella descanse en paz.

Karen and Checho Sanchez invited me as a Foreign student for Christmas and other holidays at their home in late 1960s when I was a Graduate Student at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken. She was always happy and gracious. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
