In Loving Memory of Karen A. Irving (1955 - 2025)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Karen A. Irving on March 19, 2025, in Mount Holly, New Jersey, at the age of 69.

Born on August 14, 1955, to Gesner and Charles Irving, Karen was one of five siblings. She was raised in Jacksonville, Florida, before later moving to Princeton, New Jersey, where she built a life filled with laughter, love, and service to others.

In her early years in Princeton, New Jersey, Karen found her calling in the hospitality industry, working as a waitress at PJs Pancake House and, later in her career, a lead bartender at the Prospect House at Princeton University. Karen also took great pride in using the skills she learned by offering private catering parties as a side hustle bringing joy to all who crossed her path. Known for her warmth, infectious sense of humor, and personable nature, Karen had an extraordinary ability to make others feel special. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and she loved helping those in need whenever she could.

In her later years, Karen returned to Jacksonville, Florida, where she found new opportunities to put her leadership skills into practice. She became a guiding light to those around her, inspiring people with her faith and wisdom.

God gave Karen the unique opportunity to spearhead and lead a spirituality group at Florida Christian Apartments, where she introduced many people to Jesus and made a profound impact on the residents. Her leadership and dedication to nurturing others spiritually were a true testament to her faith.

Above all, Karen was a woman of deep faith. She loved the Lord with all her heart and cherished every opportunity to share the goodness of God with others. She had a special place in her heart for her niece, Angela, and her grand-nephew, Kenny, who both loved and cared for her dearly.

Karen is survived by her niece, Angela, her grand-nephew, Kenny, her sister, Charlotte, her nephew, David, and her niece, Neicy. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, vibrant spirit, and the joy she brought into the lives of those who knew her.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date. In the meantime, we invite you to share your stories and memories of Karen through the link provided.

Angela and Kenny, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Karen´s humor and kindness. She had the perfect comedic pitch and timing to make me laugh. She was warm, kind and thoughtful in my days at PJs. I am also grateful she returned to this area in the last year of her life. I know how much she wanted to be close to you and Kenny. May God grant you and your family peace as you grieve her passing and help you to remember her legacy, which includes all that she did when your mom (Angela) passed. Blessings, Kay, Robert & Justin and Joshua.

It is with my sincere condolences to my friend and sister in Christ Karen's family. I pray for strength, peace and comfort. She will be truly missed. Her sense of humor and the laughs we shared. The fellowship when we discussed the Bible.

The unconditional love she had for her niece Angie and her great nephew Kenny. As I type, I recall her favorite gospel song "Great Is Thy Faithfulness." May God bless and keep you all. RIP my friend. You're in the His arms.

I am so glad my brother and I were able to reconnect with our childhood friend after she returned to Jacksonville, Florida. She remained encouraged with never failing strength and faith in The Lord. I am glad she was reunited with family at the latter part of life. Her nephew Kenny was so dear to her. May the family be strengthened in ABBA´s Presence.
