Karen Lois Ingemunson Lee passed away April 2, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, Kermit J. Ingemunson, her mother, Faye Lois Johnson Ingemunson Carlson, her stepfather Charles David Carlson, her sons Craig Charles Lee and Eric W. Lee, her sisters Eydie Foster and Ann Marie Sassaman and her half-sister Carlotta Faye Carlson.
Karen married Joseph K. Drag in San Diego, CA on March 16, 2007. She was a proud graduate of Waubonsee Community College and Upper Iowa University. She was employed in banking for 33 years.
Karen enjoyed travel, the symphony, opera, theatre, sports, and hiking with her husband and friends. She most enjoyed her time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
Karen is survived by her husband, Joseph K. Drag, her grandchildren Travis M. Lee and Jacqueline Hope Lee, her sister Jean E. Ingemunson, her stepsons, Gary Drag, Alan Drag, and Mark Drag, her step-granddaughter Hanna Drag and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Karen has donated her body to science and cremains will be scattered at sea.
Donations can be made to UCSD Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center, San Diego CA or the charity of your choice.
