I will always remember Karen as a vibrant, energetic, and joyful woman. Whenever she entered a room, she lit it up with her smile and love. Her legacy is two wonderful young adults who carry on her zest for life and love for others.

So very sorry to learn of your mom's passing. She fought a very brave fight versus a vicious disease. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

What a sad day for us learning that Karen had lost this battle. I always called her my "gardening buddy". (We had plots next to each other for a couple years). Even though she was gone from teaching us at the Complex for a long time, she was frequently in our thoughts and in our prayers. She has a special place in my heart. I will miss her, as she continues to find her way into my daily thoughts...till we meet again, my friend....Our condolences to Garret and Rachel, and Karen's sisters and brother.

We remember Karen from the time she moved into our new neighborhood of Blueberry Hill, Libertyville. She was only 10 years old. She weathered many hardships, was devoted to her family, good to her widowed mother, and cheerful and welcoming to all!
We are so sad that her life was cut short, but it was lived to the full while she was on this earth. Who can do more?

So sorry for your loss , Karen was a great woman. I knew her in high school a few yrs after graduation I had signed up for an aerobics class at Baxter labs when I walked in she let out that laugh and told me I was in for a ride now. What a blast.

My sincere condolences go out to the Meserve family. Through out high school, if Karen was not leading a cheer at a pep rally or wrestling game...she was singing her "little heart out". Or if you saw Karen passing in the hall from a class, you knew that Judy was not far behind. Karen was taken from this earth at such an early age. She will be greatly missed by all that she inspired in her life time. So, Karen...if I look up into the sky and hear the angels "singing" I will know that you are amongst them. R.I.P. my friend...classmate

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Karen a long time ago when she was teaching aerobics classes in Mundelein. She kept us going and made us laugh at the same time. Karen was a caring person and I loved chatting with her after class. I will keep your family in my prayers.

I remember the first boot camp class I took of Karen's in Mundelein and it was then I knew we needed her for the Libertyville Sports Complex. She kicked my butt and that wasn't easy to do. Karen was a ball of energy and will be truly missed. I wish I could be there this weekend but I will be out of town.

Our prayers are with you and your family's loss. Karen was the ultimate Team Mom for our soccer team. She made our team banner and booked our parties. Nancy had the pleasure of playing on Karen's soccer team and is glad she was playing with her instead of against her. I had the delight of coaching her for a season. She always played tough but fair, this probably describes her in life also.
Again our deepest condolences.

I so enjoyed working with Karen at the Mundelein Park District. But before that she was my very energetic aerobics instructor. Her class was so much fun. My deepest condolences to her family. Karen was a wonderful person who will be missed.
