Karen Martha Pehl, 83, of Oregon, Illinois died Saturday, February 15, 2025 at home after a lengthy illness.

Karen is survived by her husband, Edward Pehl, her children, Jeff (Heather) Pehl, Brenda (Steve) Brady, and Chad (Sarah) Pehl. She is survived by twelve Grandchildren: Jeff - (Steven Pehl, Megan Pangus, Zachary Pehl, Alex Omernik), Brenda - (Sarah Krupke, Jake Bieber), Chad - (Shawn Pehl, Logan Pehl, Bryce Harmon, Payton Blum, Xavier Coplien, Treyton Leutenegger), as well as seven Great Grandchildren.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Genevieve Stucky, her brother Harlan (Lois) Stucky, and sisters Marguerite (Walt) Keith, Doris (Ray) Taber, and Patsy (Royce) Ritchart.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025 in McCorkle Funeral Home- Durand Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Durand, IL with Pastor Brenda Morris of the Durand United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation Rites to be Accorded. Final resting place will be in Stateline Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home, Friday, February 21.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you please donate to Serenity Hospice and Home of Oregon, Illinois.

I worked with Karen at Honeywell. I remember her as kind and smart and a pleasure to have as a co-worker. Rest in peace my friend.

Eddie and family we are sorry for your loss. Max and I lived next to you guys along time at Davis and always loved to visit and tell stories. Karen always had that smile that would make anyone want to smile back.
